Not many people have on their resume "left position due to Islamic revolution" - but Kathy Simmons, president and CEO of NETSHARE, was teaching English in Tehran when the Shah of Iran was overthown. Kathy joined NETSHARE in 1992, shortly after the company was founded.

Prior to NETSHARE, Simmons spent 15 years in various customer service and technology management positions. Her eclectic background includes starting up a word processing center in Tehran, Iran.
A longtime Bay Area resident, Simmons is on the advisory board of directors for the Marin Association of Female Executives, a subchapter of NAFE (National Association of Female Executives, an original member of the COO Connection and is a participating member of the International Association of Corporate and Professional Recruiters.
A graduate of the University of Phoenix, her educational background also includes San Francisco State University and Stanford University. She credits her ability to successfully engage a broad constituency due to her upbringing in Asia and her extensive travel as a business professional.
