Dr.Venter was named Time Magazine’s Scientist of the Year for 2000. He is also the recipient of numerous honorary degrees and scientific awards including the 2002 Paul Ehrlich and Ludwig Darmstaedter Prize,the Takeda Award 2001,and the Commonwealth Award.
