Lisa Brummel Corporate Vice President, Human Resources
Lisa Brummel was promoted to lead Microsoft Human Resources in April, 2005. For the past 10 years, Lisa has served as corporate vice president of the Home & Retail Division, where she was responsible for overseeing worldwide development and business strategy for Microsoft's line of consumer hardware, software and Macintosh products. In addition she is responsible for worldwide operations and localization for Microsoft's retail business. During her 15-year tenure at Microsoft, Brummel has held a number of management positions, including general manager of Microsoft's Consumer Productivity business, product unit manager of Microsoft's Kids business and of Desktop and Decision reference products. In addition, she led product marketing for the Interactive Media Division, the Visual FoxProî database product group and Microsoft's line of applications for Macintosh. Before joining Microsoft in 1989, Brummel held various sales management and marketing positions with Prentice Hall Inc. publishing company. Brummel holds a masterââ¬â¢s degree in business administration from the University of California, Los Angeles, and a bachelor of arts degree in sociology from Yale University. She is active in charitable ventures associated with Hopelink community services, the University of Washington Medical Center, Yale University, the Human Rights Campaign and the Women's Funding Alliance.
Scott Pitasky General Manager Talent Acquisition
Scott has headed the worldwide TA&E (Staffing) division at Microsoft since December 2005. Previously he was HR Senior Director for Microsoftââ¬â¢s MSN business with more than 4,000 employees located in over 25 countries. Prior to joining Microsoft in 2000 Scott was HR VP at Amazon.com in Seattle and held senior HR leadership roles with several smaller companies.
Scott has a B.S.E. in Finance and Management from The University of Pennsylvania, Wharton School.

Shally Steckerl Research Manager, Core Technical Central Sourcing Team
Starting his career in technical recruiting in 1996 Shally Steckerl has consulted with such industry giants as Google, Coca-Cola, Cisco Systems, Motorola and Best Software. From early in his career he has developed techniques that dramatically increase recruitment productivity and allow companies to exploit the Internet. He has been teaching those techniques to staffing leaders since 1998.
Currently, Shally manages the Research arm of Microsoftââ¬â¢s Core Technical Central Sourcing Team. Previously, he consulted at Google where he built a central sourcing organization that produced 100 hard to find female Engineering hires per quarter in extremely demanding, technically advanced disciplines. Shally is a proven leader in the development and implementation of Best Practices in Centralized Sourcing organizations.
While at Coca-Cola Enterprises Inc., Shally consulted on Talent Acquisition strategy, fulfilling an average of 4 offers per week in a full-lifecycle recruitment environment. He was responsible for supporting all corporate hiring managers and functional channels throughout North America, staffing an average of 120 simultaneous open positions in a large manufacturing organization with 74,000 worldwide employees. Experienced in enforcing adherence to consistent hiring practices and coaching department managers, Shally is in a unique position to provide consulting on large corporate hiring practices.
During his tenure at Cisco Systems, Inc., Shally was a Senior Member of the eCruiting organization, defining Ciscoââ¬â¢s online Recruiting Strategy. There he supported Ciscoââ¬â¢s Recruitment Intelligence Operations, responsible for research and development of aggressive tactical and strategic Internet sourcing methods, along with training fellow recruiters on how to utilize aggressive Internet recruitment tactics. Before Cisco Shally was a Senior Internet Sourcing Specialist with Motorolaââ¬â¢s Global Talent Supply Team where he successfully applied his approach in a very demanding technology multinational. Previous to working as a Contract Recruiter, Shallyââ¬â¢s clients in the Contingency Staffing industry included MCI, IBM, Oracle, Digital Equipment Corporation, First American Financial, TOSCO, Cendant, IMS Health, Excel, PepsiCo and Frito Lay.
The advanced methods he practices and teaches have been replicated throughout many large corporate organizations worldwide. With over nine years of experience in all aspects of Recruiting, Shally is capable of assessing, teaching, mentoring and implementing successful global Recruitment methods.
