Here’s what Kennedy wrote about the session:

"Today's Web-savvy candidates want to know the real scoop behind the companies they want to work for, and traditional employment sites that present a static and unresponsive face to the world won't cut it. Technology changes and the popularity of online social networks are making the employment world more "connected." A blog will allow you to develop an audience that is interested in your knowledge, your experiences and the reason you go to work each day. It will also allow you to become part of a community of people who struggle daily with the recruiting and hiring issues of today's marketplace."

"A corporate blog will allow you to build a pipeline of top-level candidates who want to hear from you on a regular basis, even if they are not yet ready to make an employment change. If done right, you will be able to communicate with potential employees on a regular basis simply because you are willing to put yourself out there and say "This is why you should consider our company as your next place of employment." Honesty and transparency is the name of this game. Sound scary? This panel will discuss the pros and cons."

"In this session you will explore real life examples of how blogs can help your company. You'll learn how to use your site to advance your cause, enhance your organization's employment brand, and even recruit those hard to find passive candidates. The panel will also cover legal questions, discuss how to present your blog to the powers that be, and provide exciting forecasts on what can be expected from the blogosphere and its impact on the business community in the next 12-18 months."
