I want to talk with you first about the changes and enhancements LinkedIn has made since you wrote the first edition. What's new, and what is the most useful in your opinion of the new tools available?

My background is in web-based applications. Having lucked out with an internship at Simplot and working under an amazing visionary, to being the first IT manager of a medium-sized building maintenance company, I've always gravitated towards providing real, practical solutions in a web interface.
I got laid off in January of 2006 and started a job search, confident I would find something better than my last role. My job search was a mess, and I didn't get anywhere, except frustrated.
