Michael Hennessy, Founder and CEO of Smashfly Technologies

Smashfly Has Sponsored the Candidate Experience Awards since its inception. Here's Why

May 15 2014

In this short video, Michael Hennessy, the founder and CEO of Smashfly Technologies, discusses why his company has supported and sponsored the The Candidate Experience Awards (The CandEs) since its inception, four years ago.

Mike has been an industry innovator in the HR recruiting space for the past 15 years. In the late '90s, he conceived, designed, and built the first Web-based talent management system at HireSystems/BrassRing. BrassRing, one of the founding SaaS-based ATS solutions, is now owned and operated by Kenexa. The system Michael designed is still used today by scores of Fortune 500 companies.

SmashFly's mission is to break through existing technology barriers, enabling companies to implement a Total Recruitment Marketing strategy that delivers new power, strategic insights and better results for talent acquisition teams. Our Recruitment Marketing Platform -- the most complete on the market -- brings together job distribution, candidate relationship management (CRM), multiple career sites, social media, mobile and employee referrals in a meaningful way. Companies who choose SmashFly also benefit from our True SaaS delivery model that ensures real-time access to the latest sourcing technology advances and integration with any ATS.

The Candidate Experience - Gerry Crispin

Presentation at the #truCollegeRecruiter Conference, New York

December 21 2013

The #truCollegeRecruiter NYC conference was hosted on Monday, December 9, 2013 at the Times Square, New York headquarters of EY (formerly Ernst & Young) and organized by niche job board and #tru recruiting event planners. Peter Clayton from TotalPicture Radio produced the livestream and the video shown here. The livestream was sponsored by WCN Campus.

The conference brought together about 100 hiring managers, recruiters, and other human resource professionals who wanted to share best practices and learn from each other about how to more efficiently and effectively hire and manage college and university students and recent graduates.

Gerry Crispin is the co-founder of CareerXroads, a small, international consulting practice which facilitates a dialogue between corporate staffing leaders through small-group invitation-only peer-to-peer meetings (CareerXroads' Colloquium) throughout the year. Their aspiration is to contribute to a growing community of recruiting professionals who are dedicated to improving their business' long-term performance through the staffing function.
