Felix Zeltner Co-Founder Work Awesome, TotalPicture interviewFelix Zeltner

Felix Zeltner is a Germany born, New York based journalist and entrepreneur focused on science, technology and culture. He is the co-founder of Work Awesome, a young company empowering people for the future of work through conferences and innovation journey in New York, Berlin and around the globe.

His next conference will be held in New York on December 6th at a unique and exciting space -- Work Awesome & Inbox Awesome is taking place at 10 Hudson Yards, part of the largest private real estate development in U.S. history. Situated on the 48th floor, you will not only gain a unique and brand new perspective on New York and the world around you, you will also enjoy the treats of Work Awesome's venue partner, SAP Next-Gen.

Prior to becoming an entrepreneur, Felix's global reporting for ARTE, Europe's leading bilingual television network, won him the Axel Springer Award for Young Journalists and brought nominations for the Grimme Online Award and Deutscher Reporterpreis. He was listed as one of "30 under 30" journalists to watch by Medium Magazin and awarded with the Transatlantic Media Fellowship by the Center for Strategic and International Studies. His journalistic work has also been featured on German Public TV, German Public Radio and in numerous leading magazines including Geo, GQ and WIRED.

Since his move to New York in 2012, his mission has been to bridge the digital gap between Europe and the US. He teaches, consults and speaks on digital transformation, media entrepreneurship and the future of work. He serves as a mentor at the Tow-Knight Center for Entrepreneurial Journalism and at Next Media Accelerator, Europe's leading media tech accelerator.

Between 2016 and 2017, Felix and his family decided to move to a different New York City neighborhood every month, for one year, trying to rediscover the city they love so much and finding a new home in a different way. The project has been covered internationally and is currently being transformed into a book, to be published in 2019. I met with Felix in New York last week, and my first question was why? Why move to a different neighborhood every month?
