Joining Peter Clayton for this special Talent Acquisition Channel podcast on TotalPicture is the CEO of Checkster, Yves Lermusi, and the author of the report, Madeline Laurano with Aptitude Research, a research-based analyst and advisory firm focused on HCM technology.

Yves, give us some background on the Quality of Hire Trends Report. Why did Checkster undertake this project and what were your goals?

Madeline, great to have you on the show again. In the Executive Summary you write "Over 60% of companies cited identifying quality hires as the top challenge they are facing in the next year." Can you unpack this for us?"

Okay so let's back up a little bit - tell us about your report. How did you conduct the research and who did you talk to?

A couple of your stats that surprised me -- only 18% of the respondents to your survey felt assessing for organizational fit was a challenge, and only 22% thought improving the candidate experience was challenging for their organizations. Did that surprise you as well?

Back to surprising statistics for a minute, only 26% of companies have a formal methodology for defining quality of hire, and yet it's something most companies in your survey consider critical to their success -- so I would like both of you to share your thoughts on this disconnect. Yves, let's start with you.

Madeline, your report provides a step-by-step approach for how organizations can successfully define quality of hire, can you walk us through your recommendations?

However, in measuring quality of hire, you report that most talent acquisition teams don't have access to this data. That seems crazy to me.

So let's talk about post-hire metrics - your report identifies four KPIs, Madeline perhaps you could briefly describe some of the strategies, and then Yves, you can tie-in the technology components to the strategies.
